I agonized over the color palette for The Apex for quite a while. Several trips to the paint store and several consultations with my art director friend helped me arrive at the colors you see here. Each is a Sherwin-Williams color. I used their SuperPaint for Crushed Ice, Nurture Green, and Tres Naturale. I ended up using their Duration paint for Invigorate over a coat of their Pro Block primer because the loft drywall was very porous and orange doesn't generally cover very well.
Crushed Ice is the "base" color I selected for the common areas of The Apex - the bathroom, the East Wing, the kitchen walls, and the north, south, and east walls of the loft. It's a utilitarian color and doesn't distract from anything where it's used. When the kitchen cabinets need fresh paint I'll probably paint them this color as their current green isn't a match for Nurture Green.
Nurture Green is the color I selected for the guest room. The guest room has lots of south-facing windows so this color works well during the day and is a soothing color once the sun goes down.
I chose Invigorate as a statement color for the west wall in the loft. You can see part of the loft from the East Wing (which is really the main room of the house but West Wing sounds so much more majestic, doesn't it?). It adds a nice splashof color without being overwhelming.
Tres Naturale is the color selected for the master bedroom. Even though I was running away from beige when I moved out here from Overland Park it works well with the other colors.
